Always a threat to win Whitey cut his teeth on the short tracks of New Hampshire during the jalopy era. When many of his competitors hung it up as the jalopy years were winding down Whitey continued with the cut-downs and supers at tracks like Lee,Hudson & Star Speedway and as far away as Daytona
